Job Title: Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing piping systems and drafting supporting detail drawings. You will perform routine design calculations and oversee process integration from the design phase to installation. The role requires constructing Bills of Materials (BOM) for implemented systems and efficiently specifying pertinent instrumentation. Updating unit Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and understanding basic electrical and mechanical systems are also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design piping systems and draft supporting detail drawings.
  • Perform routine design calculations.
  • Oversee process integration from design phase to installation.
  • Construct Bills of Materials (BOM) for implemented systems.
  • Specify pertinent instrumentation efficiently.
  • Update unit Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Maintain a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Essential Skills

  • Functional knowledge of Solidworks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio software.
  • Experience with Autocad and product design.
  • Ability to complete thermodynamic calculations.
  • Mechanical inclination to build systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years experience with Solidworks.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Technical strength or experience with FEA and thermal simulations is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both office and lab settings. The role will involve using various technologies and equipment pertinent to mechanical and product design engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
