**Education and/or Equivalent Experience:**
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus two years of experience as a journeyman carpenter
- Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years.
**Licenses or Certifications:**
- Texas Class C Operators License or ability to obtain one within 90 calendar days of hire.

- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in fast-paced, service-oriented environments.

- Performs skilled Carpentry work in City-owned facilities.

**Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.**
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes.
- Knowledge of proper safety practices, procedure and regulations.
- Skill in reading and understanding blueprints.
- Skill in estimating time, costs, and materials.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with City employees and the public.
- Ability to safely operate City vehicles and equipment.
