Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Overview The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled non exempt position that reports to the Facility Management Team The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery mechanical equipment and building maintenance and functionality for all Charm Sciences facilities The pay range for this position is 2750 to 4100per hour Compensation will be determined based on education experience and other factors in accordance with applicable laws Essential Functions Ensures the operation of production equipment and machinery as well as temperature and humidity controlled equipment by following operations manuals and manufacturers instructionsFacilitate operation maintenance and repair of purifiedRODI water systemsLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instrumentsAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools levels plumb bobs and straightedgesRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools; examining form and determine cause and effect Follow LOTO procedures as neededControls downtime by informing Charm employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques and repairs in process and expected time of completionAble to navigate and manage preventative work order systemMaintains a working cell phone to ensure consistent communication during regular working hours unless a device is provided by the companySnow removal andor property maintenance may be requiredKnowledge Skills & Abilities Required High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years of experience in the field or trade schoolvocational trainingMechanical electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsLives within 30 miles of Charm Sciences due to rotational on call assignmentsMust posse a valid drivers license due to on call assignments and travel between facilitiesPreferred Knowledge of OSHA Safety RulesFamiliar with Lock OutTag Out ProceduresSkilled with Microsoft Office and OutlookExcellent attention to detail and mullet tasking skillsPhysical Requirements Must be able to lift 50 poundsBe able to push pull carry or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devicesAble to traverse about the facility carry and climb ladders work from heights crawl under equipment and have dexterity to work with trade toolsAble to function in extreme hot and cold weather and non weather conditions such as freezers andor outside work related issuesAble to sit or stand for an extended length of time at a bench or computer
