Infrastructure Engineer

Overview: BAM is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support BAM's global technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of many aspects of infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking, both on-premise and in the cloud. Infrastructure Engineers manage all aspects of the firm's technology infrastructure and works with business and technology teams to address infrastructure related requests and troubleshoot complex issues. As an Infrastructure Engineer at BAM, you will: Day-to-day management the firm's global on-premises and cloud compute, storage, and network environments Work closely with engineering teams to gain a deep understanding of the firm's infrastructure Automate BAU and operational activities, developing self-service capabilities for infrastructure services Provide technical leadership and mentorship for a small team of Infrastructure Engineers Deploy infrastructure services across the firm Perform infrastructure related maintenance activities to ensure and ensure our systems are reliable and resilient To be considered a goodculturalfit, you mustbe: An ambitious self-starter Eager to learn Automation mindset Astrong and efficient communicatorand collaborator Able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced trading environment A problem solver; able develop quick and sound solutions to complex problems Able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete projects and tasks on time Detail oriented To be considered a good technical fit, you must have: BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field/technical experience 3 - 5 years hands-on experience managing and maintaining technology infrastructure Strong PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows administration Strong knowledge of server virtualization products, such as VMware and AHV Strong knowledge of network switch and firewall administration Strong knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS Knowledge of enterprise storage systems, such as NetApp and Pure Storage Experience with IaC tools, such as Terraform and Cloud Formation Experience with CI/CD platforms and SDLC processes Detailed documentation skills - ability to represent ideas, requirements, reference architecture and problems in clear, concise, and business-friendly documents Bonus points for: Linux, Windows, and networking certifications Operational knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Any AWS, Azure, or GCP resource specializations or certifications Any Kubernetes resource specializations or certifications Don't have all the skills listed above?
