Duties & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to:) Project Management Oversee project execution from bid conception to mobilization and through closeout - ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Track and manage project progress using tablets, smart devices, and digital reporting tools, ensuring timely and accurate updates to stakeholders. Coordinate field and office operations, balancing remote work (from field office or on-site, not from home ) with in-office work as needed. Interpret and manage contract documents, specifications, drawings (including scaffolding/platforms, steel repairs, as-builts, and plans). Lead communication between all stakeholders including subcontractors, vendors, state DOT representatives, inspectors, and internal teams. Monitor and document compliance with safety standards (OSHA), environmental regulations, QP1/QP2, and AMPP/SSPC protocols. Work closely with crews to provide direction and ensure smooth coordination between trades, access systems (e.g., SafeSpan platforms), and blasting/painting operations. Use industry experience to identify risks and potential delays early in the process, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate records, submittals, RFI tracking, material delivery logs, work logs, and progress reports. Write professional communications including bid narratives, submittals, formal letters, submittal packages, and progress documentation. Maintain a personable and professional demeanor, building and positive relationships with clients, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams. Estimating Perform detailed analysis of project specifications, plans, as-builts, and structural drawings to develop accurate cost estimates. Knowledge of job letting sites such as PaintBidTrackor, Bid Prime, and BidX Knowledge of bid formation programs such as BidPilot. Leverage field experience to forecast labor needs, equipment requirements, material take-offs, and specialty containment/scaffolding needs. Estimate complex bridge rehabilitation scopes, including steel grit blasting (e.g., ADI Blast system), industrial coatings, rigging, containment, elevated access, and confined space . Develop full bid packages, including pricing breakdowns, material sourcing, crew scheduling, and subcontractor input. Collaborate with executive team to submit competitive and profitable bids that align with both client requirements and company capabilities. Track market pricing, material availability, and production rates to inform ongoing cost databases and improve estimating accuracy. Review post-bid project performance to compare estimated vs. actual costs and identify areas for refinement in future estimates
