Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. 3 years minimum in commercial construction estimating is required. Responsibilities Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Utilize estimating software to create accurate estimates and manage project costs effectively. Software can and will be the choice of the Estimator! Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, ensuring adherence to budget constraints. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a minimum of 3 years is required. Strong understanding of general MEPS in commercial construction. Proficiency in using estimating software and Google Drive for document management. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with cost control measures and techniques within the construction industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to team members and stakeholders.
