The construction engineerprepares and uses various drawingsofunits as construction projects or parts and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details. Work requires use ofconventional draftingtechniques and a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the occupation. The construction engineermakes arithmetic computations using standard formulas.

Job duties included but are not limited to:

Maintains, repairs, and modifiesconstructioncomponents of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairscomponents including but not limited tocontrols, frames, structures,and additional components, applies technical knowledgein determiningmalfunctions and applies required expertise in restoringcondition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

Job requirements: must have a thorough knowledge ofconstructioncomponents troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge ofstructural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of standard construction tools and equipment. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complextasks, and may be required to make entries inlogs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.

Requires:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology;

5+ years demonstrable experience managing, planning, coordination, and oversight of facility and infrastructure projects involving construction/maintenance of facilities, buildings, roadways, and building systems.
