Journeyman pipefitter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to oversee the installation of commercial HVAC/Mechanical systems in various projects throughout the Los Angeles area. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for ensuring the successful installation of these systems. Responsibilities Install and assemble piping systems for HVAC, steam, gas, and process piping applications. Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics. Cut, thread, weld, and solder pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. Perform pressure testing and system checks to ensure proper installation. Collaborate with other trades and follow direction from foremen and supervisors. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in working with carbon steel, copper, stainless steel, and PVC piping. Skilled in pipe threading, grooving, welding, and soldering. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Experience using pipefitting tools such as threading machines, welding equipment, and hand tools. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a journeyman-level pipefitter. Additional Skills & Qualifications Field detailing and cut sheet experience is highly advantageous. Possession of a full set of hand tools. Work Environment This position is based in multiple field locations within the Los Angeles area, requiring hands-on work.
