Heavy Civil Project Manager Location: New Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware (Projects within a 1-2 hour radius) Industry: Heavy Civil Construction Job Description: An employee-owned heavy civil construction firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of infrastructure projects across the region. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and coordination skills to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage single or multiple heavy civil construction projects Ensure all work is executed in compliance with safety standards Oversee cost and schedule control for self-performed and subcontracted scopes Serve as the liaison between owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Conduct bid analysis and assist with subcontractor selection and contract negotiation Monitor and manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and payments Collaborate with superintendents and upper management to resolve constructability issues Evaluate and implement quality control procedures and project methods Maintain regular reviews of cost-effectiveness and project performance Lead and mentor the project team to maintain high performance Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive experience in construction, preferably heavy civil Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Proven ability to manage fast-paced, schedule-driven projects Strong understanding of industry safety standards (OSHA), QA/QC, and construction best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within project radius Preferred Skills: OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification Familiarity with AutoCAD, Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyBid, and Viewpoint What We Offer: Competitive wages and incentive compensation 401(k) match Graduated paid time off policy Comprehensive health and dental benefits Life insurance Company vehicle program Company ownership opportunities Career advancement and mentorship programs
