As a Data Center Electrician you will help build out, troubleshoot, maintain and operate the Soluna location named "Dorothy". You will oversee and yourself operate and maintain the electrical infrastructure and perform routine electrical maintenance. Maintaining the equipment includes cleaning the equipment, distribution systems and all areas related to electrical integrity.
You will be responsible for ensuring the inspection, maintenance and reporting (as applicable) of the electrical operations as per the Standard Operating Procedures of the data center. This includes adherence to the operations security plan to maintain site security and information assurance. You will encourage your team to bring any ideas to the table for evaluation to help improve the electrical operations through a product development process.
You will:
Apply best practice procedures utilized in electrical maintenance.
Install and maintain various electrical distribution systems in an ASIC style mining facility.
Inspect, repair, install and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
Maintain lighting and environmental and temperature control systems.
Maintain and repair ASIC style miners as well as customer information databases, as needed.
Performed duties involving shipping and receiving deployment and initial setup and configuration of ASIC style miner.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
Electrician's license from the state of Texas.
Experience overseeing electrical maintenance service and repairs of equipment and fixtures.
3-5 years of electrical maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code and other applicable standards and regulations.
Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
Ability to independently perform a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from management.
Full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to electrical systems.
Experience collaborating and partnering with teams
Ability to perform component level repairs on equipment
Comfortable with many different types of cryptocurrency mining equipment, including GPU servers.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as needed
Ability to lift/move 23kg (50lb) of equipment as required
Strong interest in blockchain technology and cryptomining preferred
