Fire Safety Drafter Location : Memphis, TN Job Type : Full-time Shift : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Salary : TBD Reports to : Associate Director of Fire Safety Position Overview : Our client is looking for a Fire Safety Drafter to create detailed fire safety equipment plans and conduct surveys to identify fire safety equipment in buildings and properties. This role combines site surveying and drafting tasks, ensuring fire safety plans are accurate and complete. Key Responsibilities : Survey : Conduct on-site surveys to identify and locate fire safety equipment. Drafting : Prepare fire safety equipment plans, site drawings, and updates based on site findings. Verification : Verify the existence of fire safety equipment and ensure it meets the required standards. Collaboration : Coordinate with the fire safety team to ensure accuracy in design and implementation. Site Photos : Capture photos of the site and fire safety equipment. Plan Updates : Assist in updating and correcting fire safety plans as necessary. Essential Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD (8-10 years experience required) Strong technical skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Multitasking and flexibility Basic math skills for drafting and measurements Strong collaboration skills with teams Education & Experience : Required : High school diploma or equivalent Experience : 8-10 years of AutoCAD design experience Preferred : Bachelor's degree and experience in real estate/commercial office sectors Driver's license required Physical Demands : Active role : standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 25 lbs) Specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception) Work Environment : Professional office and commercial spaces, including industrial, warehouse, and office environments. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and varying climate conditions. Travel : Some local travel required for site surveys.
