Our valued client is looking for a Sr. Cisco Architect to design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure solutions
Tasks include:
Support initiatives involving Cisco UCS, ACI, Meraki (for remote sites), SD-WAN enhancements, and performance optimization for both east-west and north-south network traffic
Translate business requirements into technical strategies and deliver robust, scalable, and secure networking solutions
Work closely with the networking team and assist on various tasks related to the above-mentioned initiatives
Solution Implementation:
Support the networking team with its implementation of UCS, and ACI. The resource will lead the Meraki deployment.
High-Level and Low-Level Design:
Develop high-level architecture and detailed implementation plans that align with organizational goals and technical standards.
Network Assessments:
Evaluate existing network infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and rmend actionable solutions for optimization and modernization.
SD-WAN and Meraki Implementation:
Lead the design and rollout of Meraki networks for remote sites and optimize SD-WAN configurations to improve reliability and performance.
Traffic Optimization:
Engineer east-west and north-south traffic flow improvements to enhance network performance and reduce latency across data center and remote environments.
Compliance and Audit Readiness:
Ensure all network designs and changes align with security policies andpliance frameworks. Participate in technical audits.
Implementation Guidance:
Provide direct guidance and oversight to implementation teams, ensuring solutions are deployed according to design.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure aligned oues and minimal disruption.
Technical Advocacy:
Communicate technical strategies clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders
Deliverables:
Implementation: Direct support for the UCS, ACI, and Meraki implementation.
Network Assessment Report: Findings from infrastructure assessments with prioritized rmendations.
Configuration Guides: Documented configurations for Cisco platforms to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Optimization Reports: Analysis and metrics to support east-west and north-south traffic flow improvements.
Audit Support Materials: Documentation prepared in support of internal and external audits.
Troubleshooting Logs and RCA: Documentation and resolution reports from critical issue handling and root cause analyses.
Strategic Roadmaps: Visual or written roadmaps aligning network evolution with business objectives.
Must have:
Eligible for the organization's internal security clearance
Experience as a Cisco Architect, designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure solutions
Fortinet knowledge as this is a Cisco and Fortinet shop
Nice to have:
Experience with Cisco ACI, Meraki, SD-WAN enhancements
