The candidate willhave a broad range of responsibilities, which includes interacting withclients, manage electrical projects, and participate in new businessdevelopment. In this role, your design delivery responsibilities willinclude conceptual design development, layout and selection of equipment,development of contract drawings using 2D and 3D design approaches, bidpackage preparation, field investigations, electrical and I&C design,and support during construction both in the office and in the field. We arelooking for candidates who have a passion for building things, meeting newpeople, and desire to work with seasoned professionals who performindustrial, municipal, and other water/wastewater related work.Primary responsibilities include:Support conceptual through detailed design development, including electricalsingle line drawings, schedules, plans, equipment layouts,schematics, control wiring diagrams, Process and Instrument Diagrams(P&IDs), specification and selection of equipment, and electricalsystem studies; development of contract drawings using 2D and 3D/BIMdesign approaches, bid package preparation, field investigations andsupport during construction, both in office and in field.Successfully manage and execute electrical design and be on time and on budgetusing company systems and tools.Support business opportunities and assist in sales and marketing efforts(proposal preparation, interviewing, scope, fee, etc.).Mentor other electrical and I&C engineers and designers.Perform contractor construction submittal reviews and request for informationdocuments and general electrical design activities for plant and pump stationpower systems.Producing effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technicalmemorandums.Collaborate with a national team of technical experts in the Electrical andI&C group.Required QualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree.Professional registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months.Minimum of 4 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer working forgovernment, municipal, and/or industrial infrastructure projects.Experience in electrical power systems design and specification, whichinclude service entrance, feeder and branch circuits, lighting,grounding, power distribution and standby power equipment, and associatedsystems studies and calculations.Experience in industrial power systems design, service entrance, feederand branch circuits, lighting, emergency power and power distributionequipmentSolid knowledge in the application of the National Electrical Code.Solid knowledge and understanding of electrical safety systems, NFPA 70E.Effective oral and written communication.Able to multi-task, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and work independentlywith a willingness to learn.Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented and be able to workunder tight and pressured deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years' experience as an Elect ical Engineer working for government,municipal, and/or industrial infrastructure projects.Experience in the water and wastewater industry.Experience in power system analysis and modelling software such as SKM andETAP.Salary Range:The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on theemployee's primary work location and may be more or less depending uponskills, experience, and education.
