Responsibilities * Oversees adherence to technical delivery of projects including material selections, detailing, and coordination. * Facilitates technical discussions with junior staff to promote professional development. * Designs and specifies project appropriate architectural requirements. * Manages internal team and consultant communication on the technical aspects of the project. * Investigates, evaluates, and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues. * Performs Revit modeling and detailing with team. * Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates. * Conducts site investigations and observations; travel for project-related activities may be required. * Prepares basic narratives, reports, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, regarding project schedule and budget constraints. * Participates in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI s, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept. * Assists with marketing and business development activities. * Coordinates the work of junior professionals and technicians, by leading Quality Assurance and Quality Control review. * Exercises independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, working to solve problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects. * Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices uses advanced techniques. * Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials and construction. * Confirms scope of work and contractual obligations with project manager. * Understands the project(s) scope and plans and develops concepts and approaches appropriate to the construction budget and the disciplines in carrying out the project work. * Follows the project plan and informs the project manager of obstacles. * Performs code analysis.
