HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT: As a Project Executive for Boldt Holdings you are responsible for providing oversight, leadership, and management required for the company's projects in various locations throughout the United States. The number of projects you are responsible for and dollar size of projects can vary greatly depending on assignment. The Project Executive serves as the primary representative of the company when interacting with the Owner, Joint Venture Partner, Employees, Trade Partners, Suppliers, and the public. The Project Executive may have an active role in the pursuit and acquisition of projects and is primarily focused on the transition from project award through development and the construction execution phase of the project life cycle. Project Executives are responsible for the development of Boldt team members who are working on their projects. As Project Executive it is your responsibility for developing critical and key relationships and for promoting the company's culture through effective relationship building with all those involved with the project. Project Executives are expected to participate in Business Development activities as well as lead/participate in community outreach activities. WHAT YOU GET TO DO: Business Development: Develop and foster strong relationships with clients, trade partners, architects, engineers and general contractors through networking activities and events. Participate in pursuit and acquisition of project work on a local (or national) basis supporting the business development and marketing team, leading preconstruction, and construction strategy of the pursuit. Build and maintain key personal working relationships with the owner(s). Project Development: Work collaboratively with Boldt's legal group on risk evaluation and contract negotiations. Guide the planning and entitlement process to develop the project approach. Provide vision to ensure that the project pursuit, as well as the project itself, has the proper operational strategies and systems in place to achieve the desired expectations: Collaborate with the project team to develop and execute win strategies as well as implement plans for the operational infrastructure, processes and personnel designed around delivering the project objectives. Project Execution: Develop, maintain, and uphold the highest level of professionalism in all interactions, communications, and publications. Maintain and enforce the highest standard of personal and business ethics. Provide vision to ensure that the project pursuit, as well as the project itself, has the proper operational strategies and systems in place to achieve the desired expectations. Project Teams Oversight: Build and maintain key personal working relationships with the architectural and engineering teams. Identify, mentor, and encourage additional owner, engineer and general contractor relationships to ensure that those teams remain connected at all levels. Lead the process of selecting the internal supporting team for the project. Build and maintain key personal working relationships with key trade partner organizations at the executive or management level. Champion and encourage the use and implementation of the best Integrated Lean Project Delivery practices from within and outside of the company. Appraise performance and development of team, holding them accountable to position responsibilities, and established goals. Establish operational initiatives to improve the delivery of projects in all areas of design, schedule, quality, cost, safety, and delivery methods. Deliver project results with an emphasis on client satisfaction, project schedules, budgets and margins, drives operating performance through process improvement and project management. Identify and recognize the need for additional products and service offerings that align with the customer's needs and provides creative solutions. Safety: Work with the Operations Manager, Project Manager & Safety Manager to develop a strong and proactive site safety program meeting the needs of the company, owner, and the project. Encourage, embrace, and promote advancements in safety systems and culture. Lead by example through hands-on safety engagement with team. Financial: Oversee the project cost model, estimate, and budget; and influence design to optimize cost. Continuously review operating performance against plans and prior periods, including current progress towards the project target, current production, forecasted cost at completion, contracting status, operating expenses, cash flow management, and profitability. Schedule: Ensure a disciplined and comprehensive project milestone schedule is in place and monitor regularly WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: Four-year degree, preferably in real estate, engineering or construction management. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Advanced management or technical training preferred. Extensive (fifteen or more years) experience in similar development, construction and related functions plus the willingness to learn and continuously improve processes are required. Excellent organizational, supervisory, and decision-making/problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in 0365 office suite. A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds. The working condition of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. The anticipated salary range for this position is $148,570 - $200,096 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Milwaukee, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
