Job Description
One of the nation's top MEP Engineering firms in the area is currently seeking a Mechanical(HVAC) Engineer who will be a leader in the department and supervise staff's day-to-day responsibilities while leading projects in all facets by interfacing with clients, providing technical excellence and managing project teams and schedules.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
Manage and supervise staff's day-to-day responsibilities and mentor staff in both technical knowledge and career development
Lead mechanical engineering and design on projects and serve as engineer of record
Provide QA/QC services in alignment with firm
Oversee load calculations, systems design, cross-discipline coordination, signing and sealing contract documents
Perform engineering studies for highly technical clients whose details including phased system loading, payback analysis and knowledge of industry trends
Engaged in all phases of projects including the design of facility related heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems(HVAC)
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural engineering consulting environment
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Engineer expertise in mechanical discipline and knowledge of parallel disciplines
Extensive knowledge of HVAC System Engineering for a wide-range of building types.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, etc.
Proven ability to manage clients and represent firm at meetings
Experience managing sufficient revenue to lead a full design team
