un Welder's helper (Macon) J-brothers Inc. 3051 Kumho PKWY near Machine shop compensation: compensation: $15-$18 per hour employment type: full-time(08:00~17:00 40Hr/week) employment type: experience level: entry level job title: welder's helper Streamline Fabrication,established custom metal fabrication and repair shop looking for a hands-on, highly motivated person that would like the opportunity to work while getting on the job training to learn the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the Welding Fabricating industry. For the right individual this position will have the opportunity for advancement within the company. Job Responsibilities and Duties Be a hardworking, goal oriented individual with the initiative to take pride in your work Demonstrate practical use skills of hand and power tools Demonstrate reliability and consistency in your work with great attention to detail. Demonstrate and develop good organizational skills and time management skills. Follow through with basic directives, written and verbal instructions making sure to complete task Basic knowledge using a tape measure, knowing fractions Develop effective verbal and written communication skills Work with supervision and as part of a team learning to work independently. Demonstrate basic trouble shooting skills with a can do attitude; making recommendations to your shop foreman Train in using hoist and forklifts to move parts, materials and loaded pallets throughout the facility Prepare shipments by palletizing, strapping or boxing based on the needs. Practice good housekeeping Ex: racking steel, cleaning shop, servicing equipment, completing any and all task given Qualifications and Requirements Minimal to no experience required. Experience in a related field a plus Must be hard working and eager to learn Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 75lbs while wearing required PPE. Demonstrate good mathematical skills Must be eligible to work in the United States with reliable transportation.
