Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Industrial Equipment & Controls
Location: Ramsey, MN (On-site | Relocation Support Available)
Overview:
A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to lead and support electrical systems across production and custom-engineered equipment. This hands-on role blends design, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Please Note: This role requires prior industry experience. Not suitable for entry-level applicants or recent grads. Candidates must have 2+ years of post-grad engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
What You'll Do:
Design, modify, and implement electrical control systems for new and existing equipment
Create and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and R D teams to integrate control components
Select components and specify control hardware and panel designs
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system upgrades
Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and safety codes
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
2+ years of full-time, post-degree experience in electrical design for manufacturing/industrial environments
Skilled in AutoCAD Electrical (or similar platforms)
Familiar with PLCs, electrical panels, and motor control systems
Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mindset
Clear communication and organizational strengths
Experience with refrigeration or industrial equipment is a plus
