Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. ****** This role will focus primarily on managing public infrastructure projects involving asphalt paving, street construction, sidewalks, and related surface work. Experience with municipal/public works projects and managing asphalt crews is highly preferred.**** Duties Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction workers to ensure project milestones are met. Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting future costs. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project plans. Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical systems testing as needed. Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and promote a culture of safety on site. Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for stakeholders. Skills Proficient in budgeting and financial management related to construction projects. Strong background in construction management with hands-on experience in various trades. Familiarity with contract negotiation and administration. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics effectively. Knowledge of quality control processes specific to the construction industry. Experience with construction estimating techniques for accurate project planning. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members, clients, and vendors. Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues that arise during the construction process.
