IES Residential is seeking motivated and dependable Electrical Apprentices to support licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential construction. This entry-level role provides hands-on training under the guidance of experienced professionals, offering a strong foundation for a long-term career in the electrical trade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pull wire, install conduit, outlets, switches, panels, and other electrical components as instructed.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
Maintain a clean and safe job site by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
Load, unload, and stage tools, equipment, and materials at job sites.
Participate in on-the-job training and attend required classroom instruction (if enrolled in an apprenticeship program).
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment or willingness to enroll in a recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and display initiative.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of electrical principles is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation to job sites.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, as required.
Frequently works at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions.
Regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
May be exposed to high places, noise, dust, and potentially hazardous equipment.
PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn at all times as required by job site.
