Our client, an innovative leader in clean energy technology, is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer - NPI to join their Fremont-based team. In this role, you'll lead the transfer of new products into manufacturing, drive electrical systems design, and develop test and validation strategies. You'll work cross-functionally to bring advanced energy systems from concept to production in a high-paced, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of electrical engineering or NPI experience, knowledge of high-voltage systems and instrumentation, and is passionate about driving meaningful innovation in energy.

responsibilities:
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring seamless transition to manufacturing.

  • Develop interconnect wiring diagrams, schematics, harness drawings, and work instructions.

  • Drive root cause failure analysis of electrical systems and implement corrective actions.

  • Create and manage BOMs, ECNs, and deviations; develop test procedures, fixtures, and software.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure electrical system quality and manufacturability.
Requirements :

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering or NPI, preferably in high-tech or industrial sectors.

  • Proficiency with schematics, wiring harnesses, and AutoCAD.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of analog/digital circuits, high voltage components, control systems, and instrumentation.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and hands-on lab experience with electro-mechanical assemblies.
