About the Company: We are partnering with a premier construction firm in search of an experienced Division Manager to lead their Special Projects group in Sacramento, CA . This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a results-driven professional with deep construction management expertise and the ability to make strategic decisions that influence client satisfaction, profitability, and overall division performance.
Position Overview: As Division Manager, you will hold full operational, financial, and strategic responsibility for the Special Projects division. This role requires a strong leader who can balance internal team development with external client relations while maintaining excellence in project execution and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business development and marketing initiatives to secure new opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients.
Negotiate and oversee contracts , ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk tolerance.
Conduct and oversee risk management planning and assessments.
Direct the preparation of all bids, estimates, and budgets , setting strategic direction for project acquisition and delivery.
Forecast and manage both short- and long-term financial performance , ensuring sustained division profitability.
Review and oversee division budgets , identifying opportunities for improved expense control and revenue optimization.
Manage and mentor staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and operational excellence across all project teams.
Foster a culture of client-first service , ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes.
Serve as a culture leader by embodying the company’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Core Purpose .
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, project supervision, or division leadership.
Proven success in leading a construction division or managing a portfolio of diverse projects.
Solid understanding of contract language, insurance requirements, and indemnity provisions .
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability to deliver strong financial and operational results .
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive annual salary: $150,000 – $185,000
