The Role
Dodds Garage Doors is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Commercial Estimator to join our commercial sales team. This role focuses on providing high-quality, detailed estimates and quotes for overhead doors and related projects. You will work closely with property managers, warehouse managers, general contractors, builders, and other customers to ensure accurate and timely quotes while supporting our salespeople. The position is based in Cambridge, ON, and requires in-office work 5 days a week.

The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment and has a strong attention to detail. You excel at producing consistent, error-free work while adhering to established standards and procedures. With excellent math and communication skills, you bring experience in the B2B construction market and are comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in Excel and MS Word is essential, and familiarity with Service Titan is a plus.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare detailed and accurate quotes in support of the Sales team
- Review service work orders to identify required work and generate accurate quotes accordingly
- Follow up on issued quotes to support the sales process and secure approvals
- Process approved quotes and ensure timely handoff to operations and service teams
- Coordinate with vendors to gather pricing, product availability, and delivery timelines
- Maintain and regularly update the vendor list to support quoting and procurement needs
- Manage relationships with large builder accounts, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness
- Collaborate with internal departments to support smooth and efficient workflows
What You Bring to the Table:
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, technical sales support, or a customer service role
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/quoting tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with accuracy and professionalism
- Industry knowledge or experience in construction, building products, or service-based operations is a plus
Additional role details
Job Type: Full-time, in-office (Cambridge, ON) 5x a week.
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
