Traveling Superintendent - Heavy Civil Construction

Location: Travel-based (Project Sites Across Region) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 5+ years

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on complex heavy civil construction projects. This role requires full-time presence on active job sites, with relocation to the next project upon completion. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing work such as bridges, roadways, marine construction, dams, and wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs).

• Lead day-to-day field operations and manage on-site crews and subcontractors

• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors

• Enforce job site safety protocols and company policies

• Maintain project documentation including daily reports, timekeeping, and progress tracking

• Schedule labor, equipment, and material deliveries

• Solve field issues quickly and efficiently to keep the project moving

• 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction supervision

• Strong knowledge of bridge, roadway, marine, WWTP, and/or dam construction

• Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate with multiple stakeholders

• Willingness to relocate with the project and travel as needed

• OSHA certification and strong understanding of safety standards

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
