NOW HIRING: We are looking for a Welder B to join our Circular Products team in Sauk Rapids, MN. The Welder B is responsible for contributing to the success of the organization by supporting the project leads with fabricating and welding to ensure that the company quality standards, national codes, and customers’ specifications are met.

Job Title: Welder B
Location: Sauk Rapids, MN
Salary Range: $22.95 - 27.00 per hour
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule : 1st shift Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm
Shift Differential : 1st shift - N/A

As a Welder B , you will:

  • Read and interpret detailed drawings and dimensions.
  • Interpret WPS and determine welder settings required on projects.
  • Prepare welding surfaces and check fit up of parts as required.
  • Set up and position parts using appropriate tooling.
  • Weld according to all appropriate codes and procedures.
  • Monitor quality of welding using appropriate tools and measuring devices.
  • Use basic math skills to calculate and convert imperial/metric and decimal/fractions as needed.
  • Use time tracking system to accurately report time to jobs/operations.
  • Use grinders, cutting torches, dynafiles, die grinders, and other hand operated power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform all functions safely and follow all safety standards and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Role qualifications as a Welder B :

  • Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma plus technical college
  • Preferred candidates will have one (1) year of related experience
  • Maintain a minimum of 6 weld certifications at an 80% success rate for 6-month continuity testing.
  • Maintain Level 1 certification to successfully operate forklift and overhead cranes, as needed, according to safe operating procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices
  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelines
  • Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
  • Ability to electronically record production information
  • Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills
  • Accept and apply on-the-job training to advance your skill level
  • Understands and promotes the ISO 9001/2015 culture ensuring that every function and operation happens with high quality
  • Identifies organizational problems and opportunities for improvement and brings solutions and suggestions to management’s attention
  • Functions as a team member by assisting, supporting, and encouraging other employees in any way possible
  • Use of inspection equipment

Physical Demands:

Work is typically performed both in a manufacturing setting. May need to stand for extended periods of time.
