Job Description
The Preconstruction Manager is pivotal in the early phases of a project, focusing on collaboration with design, client, and subcontractor teams to ensure efficient and successful construction. This role involves building integrated teams, setting project goals, and managing various aspects such as budget, feasibility, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Early Project Planning: Collaborate closely with design, client, and subcontractor teams to facilitate project initiation.
- Feasibility Studies: Evaluate the feasibility of projects by considering budget, schedule, and potential challenges.
- Budget Management: Oversee and align the project budget with established goals.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage realistic and achievable construction schedules.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with the design team to ensure project requirements are met and potential issues are identified.
- Integrated Team Building: Foster collaboration and communication among various project teams.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks that could impact the project, developing effective mitigation strategies.
Essential Skills
- Preconstruction experience: 10-15 years
- Experience with construction management companies, excluding owner's reps
- Strong RFP technical knowledge, with the ability to build and manage change orders
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Technical knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and project management processes
- Problem-solving abilities related to design, feasibility, and scheduling

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/hr.
