Job Description
Join a dynamic team of engineers working on client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant electrical systems for leading energy providers. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will participate in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment, providing valuable insights and support.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of engineers across disciplines on client projects.
- Participate in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment.
- Prepare engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.
- Perform tests and research problems through various sources of technical information.
- Design or modify components and determine the intent of specifications or instructions.
- Make recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.
- Provide support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- 4 to 7 years of related practical work experience.
- Electrical engineering and design proficiency.
- Ability to perform design calculations and problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior nuclear experience is highly desirable.
- Quick learner with schematic knowledge.
Work Environment
Work at Three Mile Island with an arrangement of 6-10 days on-site per month, with the remainder of the time working from home. Travel expenses are covered, including per diem for food and lodging. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
