Project Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will lead various structural design, renovation, and inspection projects across a multitude of applications, including renovations and adaptive reuse.
Responsibilities
- Oversee structural design, renovation, and inspection projects.
- Perform structural design and analysis for various building systems in commercial, institutional, educational, public-sector, and industrial facilities.
- Design, detail, and analyze structures for low-rise and high-rise buildings using materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-form metal.
- Prepare calculations and drawings for reports.
- Develop finite element models for complex structure analysis.
- Conduct field-oriented tasks including investigations, site visits, inspections, and condition assessments, and develop corresponding reports.
- Work directly with clients to foster positive relationships.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline such as Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience.
- Active P.E. license.
- Experience in design and analysis of various structural systems and complex projects; nonlinear structural analysis experience is a plus.
- Experience with structural inspections and assessments, particularly in renovation projects.
- Proficiency with engineering, CADD, and BIM tools; experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM (Structural Systems and/or Elements), STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, building design, drafting, and modeling.
- Familiarity with Risa 3D, engineering, and steel structure analysis.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
