Laser Operator

J & K Commercial Construction is a commercial construction company with a rapidly growing manufacturing division. We are seeking a Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. General sheet metal experience is necessary, and we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the team to ensure that all jobs are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
-Load and unload both sheet and tube laser cutters
-Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate cutting specifications.
-Conduct quality inspections to verify the precision and accuracy of cuts
-Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Assist press brake operators
-De-burring of material coming from laser after being cut
Requirements
-Previous experience operating a laser
-Excellent attention to detail
-Ability to work effectively in a team
-Willing to learn and follow instructions
-Basic mechanical aptitude
-Prior experience in laser cutting or sheet metal fabrication is a plus but not required
-Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
-Need to be willing to be forklift, Industrial safety, and CPR certified upon being hired
Hours of operation are from 7:00am 3:30pm with optional and sometimes mandatory overtime.
