Job Summary:
As a Surveyor at DAVACO, you will play a critical role in the success of our high-volume restaurant and retail remodels, rollouts, and refresh projects. You will be responsible for conducting detailed site surveys, collecting accurate field measurements, verifying existing conditions, and capturing photographic documentation to support project planning, design, and execution.
This position demands precision, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and field teams. Your work ensures seamless execution and minimizes delays by delivering accurate data essential for construction planning and layout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform site surveys for restaurant and retail locations nationwide.
- Document existing conditions, measurements, materials using standardized forms and software.
- Take high-quality, organized photographs to support documentation and scope validation.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure survey findings align with project requirements.
- Upload survey data into designated portals or project management systems within required timelines.
- Communicate site anomalies or unexpected findings to the project team proactively.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience preferred in construction surveys, preferably in restaurant or retail environments.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Strong proficiency with measuring tools and basic field technology (laser measures, tablets, etc.). Surveys will be completed on the Clearthread platform.
- Working smart phone with camera and charger, 12 foot or longer tape measure
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license, motor vehicle history and acceptable drug and background screening results.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires 100% travel to project sites across the U.S. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent air and/or road travel, including overnight stays where you may be required to share a space with 1 other team member. A valid driver's license and satisfactory pre-employment screenings are required. All travel expenses are covered in accordance with company policy.
