Position Summary
Builds/Welds custom products from prints and raw materials.
Responsibilities
Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
Welds including spot welding, tig, mig and stick.
Fabricates and welds non-ASME code components.
Sets up welders, fabricates (bends, cuts, welds, and drills) grinds and shears.
Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- General welding coursework completed.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with sheet metal.
SKILLS:
- Ability to understand and follow written work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools such as tape measure, wrenches, drills, etc.
- Ability to read from a schematic.
- Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel.
- Ability to pass a basic welding test prior to being hired.
- Computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn Parker business system
- Basic level math skills including fractions and decimals and an understanding of angles.
Pay: $23.50/hr
$3,000 Sign On Bonus Included
