JOB SUMMARY: Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Purchasing department. This role requires coordinating with various departments, administering documentation, resolving internal and external issues relating to purchasing policies and/or procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal
Process lot starts, late option changes, ensuring subcontractors have necessary documentation
Appliance orders - oversee orders, coordinate with Centralized Purchasing, process late change requests, monitor delivery schedules, review backorders and replacement parts
Communicate work progress and any outstanding issues to management
Organize and archive Purchasing documentation (work agreements, master sheets, model discounts, etc)
External
New vendor setup - coordinate with subcontractors and NAPA to ensure we have proper documentation in place
Delta revisions - distributing plans and frame walk notes to subcontractors to bid changes, ensure all changes are contracted in the system
Invite subcontractors to bid new communities, collect and distribute bids to Purchasing Agents
KBTPO - provide support, reset passwords, and train
Miscellaneous
Additional assignments as needed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree and/or applicable work experience in related field is preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
Construction product and process knowledge preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to multi task, prioritize, and meet deadlines, high level of organization required
Need to possess strong communication skills
Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other's ideas, and a willingness to cooperate
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Work Requirements:
Ability to maintain ethical behavior at all times
Need to be able to work a full work day with additional time after hours if needed
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to move about work location
Ability to drive/travel as needed
Ability to walk up and down stairs
Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand
Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio)
Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales)
