Principal Services Architect - 427115

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Principal Services Architect at our Newtown Square, PA location to act as an advisor to the customer with a broad application, LoB or industry understanding. Understands the as-is situation and goals of a customer holistically (e.g. industry, LoB), can translate them into an appropriate business-driven IT-roadmap and architecture design based on SAP's offerings and SAP's cloud strategy, with a clear focus on customer success. Operationalizes the customers' business strategies, identifies relevant components, approaches, input, etc. to derive the best possible solution and helping our customers reap the increasingly differentiating benefits of our cloud solutions. Challenges existing solutions / approaches / concepts, to generate a state-of-the-art and future-ready outcome. Clarifies expectations from various stakeholders, creating a solution which integrates diverse points of views and serves as a starting point for future SAP business. Collaborates with customers, partners, and SAP teams for the best possible implementation. Drives knowledge management and innovation activities based on this experience with customers. Explains and uses various Architectural patterns -- e.g. micro-service-based architecture, reactive architecture, cloud native etc. Supports sales deals by articulating deployment scope, design, roadmap, and estimates. Designs a to-be architecture for optimal outcome that supports the realization of expected business outcomes. Defines the strategic, conceptual, and organizational scope for the design of the SAP-centric IT landscape, especially when customer requirements are very challenging. Troubleshoots success-critical customer issues related to SAP, independent of their nature. Advises and mentors diverse teams, which include customer, partner and SAP resources. WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs/wk - Hybrid work model. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. ```{=html}```- Experience must involve five (5) years in the following: ```{=html}```- Developing statement of work (SOW) and client proposals, participate in the completion of deliverables for life-cycle implementations for customers across various industries; ```{=html}```- Utilizing agile methodology in software development, delivering components of client engagements, utilizing SAP Financial Planning (FP&A) or SAP Group Reporting; ```{=html}```- Identifying, designing, and implementing critical business solutions utilizing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC); ```{=html}```- Identifying business requirements, functional design, process design, scenario design, flow mapping, prototyping, testing, training, and support procedures; ```{=html}```- Organizing and leading pursuit teams, proposal development efforts, and contributing to the development of proposal-pricing strategies; and ```{=html}```- Leading global Project teams and project delivery, tracking and resolving key issues and risks to budget and scope. ```{=html}```- Position requires up to 50% domestic and international travel to various and unanticipated client sites. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $173,000 - $294,100. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
