JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pre-checks and inspects all equipment before operation. Informs supervisor of any equipment defects or safety concerns. Performs repairs as needed.
Unloads steel coil delivery trucks.
Communicates with truck drivers to coordinate shipments. Ensures truck drivers have access to PPE when entering the facility and that they maintain safe operating procedures.
Charges and discharges coil feeders at presses.
Loads and unloads dies from die rack system.
Unloads, loads, and stages dies at all presses for stamping production.
Loads transport vehicles and makes sure loads are evenly and securely placed.
Maintains cleanliness, orderliness, and organization of the die rack, steel coil storage, and scrap room areas.
Inspects materials and labels to insure the location and next process is correct (for both parts and steel coils).
Notifies Production Supervisor or Quality Control immediately of any visible quality concerns with parts or with shipping.
Makes sure goods are stored in the correct area of the plant so they can be located easily when making orders.
