Commercial HVAC Service Technician Job Description As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment, primarily rooftop units, across various facilities in the area. You will have the opportunity to work with a Senior Technician for initial weeks, after which you will independently handle service calls. A work truck/van will be provided, and you can dispatch from home, eliminating the need to visit the shop daily. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment, primarily rooftop units. Handle service calls independently after initial training period with a Senior Technician. Dispatch from home and manage daily service calls within the assigned territory. Essential Skills 5 years of HVAC industry experience with at least 3 years in service roles. Experience in HVAC installation, sheet metal, and ductwork is beneficial. Valid Driver's License. High School or Trade School Graduate or GED. EPA Certification. Registered through TDLR. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work in various weather conditions. Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role involves fieldwork, handling various service calls daily, primarily in commercial buildings and warehouses. You will work in different weather conditions, ensuring service excellence in all environments. The typical workday starts around 7 AM and concludes once the job is done, usually by 5 or 6 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROUND ROCK, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
