Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies: Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for induction annealing blind fastener pins. Sets up and operates, on a production basis, all assigned band anneal equipment. This includes settings and adjustments required to produce parts to specifications. Selects, installs and adjusts tooling in proper order and relationship. Makes all adjustments necessary to produce parts of acceptable quality. Performs installation testing to evaluate machine settings using assembled parts, test buttons and installation tooling. Performs installed shear and tension testing using text fixtures and speedy testers. Performs dimensional inspection using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and digital indicators. Monitors production run to ensure conformance to specifications. Reworks and directs reworking of tooling as needed. Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules. Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines. Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations. Qualifications OTHER COMPETENCIES: Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blueprints. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of four (4) years experience in operating various screw machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $20.67-$38.46 2nd shift differential Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location.
