We're searching for qualified candidates to assist in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation and reconditioning of natural gas distribution pipelines in Jacksonville, FL and it's surrounding areas! Main Responsibilities: Manually guide welding gun along weld line to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molted puddle. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Apply filler rod manually to supply weld metal. Clean or degrease weld joints or work piece(s). Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes. Prepare broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces. Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture. Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of experience welding in the gas distribution industry, preferably TDW. Must have your own welding rig. Associate's degree or completion certificate from two-year college or trade school. (Experience in lieu of education may be considered.) Current driver's license with good driving record Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
