JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a good Farm Equipment Operator for this Illinois farm. Job duties will be operating newer farm equipment including planter, fertilizer applicator, swather, combines, center pivots and grain trucks. Will assist in vehicle and machinery maintenance and general farm upkeep. Farm uses GPS and precision Ag such as yield and protein monitors in harvesting, variable rate fertilizing while planting, so prefer some computer experience. Working longer hours during planting, irrigation and harvest is to be expected. No livestock. Winter season consists of grain hauling and equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturing/fabrication in shop. Winter hours average 40 hours. A strong crop background and experience with large farm equipment, large truck with CDL is preferred, and pivot irrigation operation are preferred attributes for better pay. Prefer a candidate who was raised on a farm, has made farming their career and has a passion for production Agriculture. Overall salary will be D.O.E., job stability, and references. Great location for school options and spouse to find employment if searching.
