Forklift Operator Job Description This position involves managing various warehouse tasks, ensuring accuracy in receiving and handling parts, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the warehouse facility. Shift & Pay 1st Shift - 7.30am - 3.30pm - 18/HR Responsibilities Receive and check incoming parts for accuracy from vendors, update the computer system, and place items in the appropriate warehouse location. Pick part orders from both low and high locations using an RF scanner and load orders onto production carts. Participate in cycle counting and bin/space consolidation programs to maintain inventory and warehouse facility cleanliness. Cross-train within the department and work in other departments as necessary, identifying potential errors and verifying work to meet customer expectations. Adhere to company rules and regulations, including safety protocols and respect for fellow employees. Maintain warehouse equipment as scheduled and report any problems immediately; ensure the work area is neat and organized. Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintain a positive attitude, and function well in a team environment. Participate in company-sponsored activities, including suggestion programs and quality training. Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills Experience with inventory management and material handling. Proficiency in using RF scanners for picking and packing. Ability to operate a sit-down or stand-up forklift (1 year required). Experience in packing and shipping/receiving. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification. Why Work Here?
