The Pre-Construction department has primary responsibility for supporting business development opportunities in the Government and Community Services group. The focus is on building successful teams for proposal development and delivery, planning for execution and bridging the communications between customer and project execution to create an environment for successful project delivery. The Design-Build Pre-Construction Coordinator supports business development by contributing to the proposal development process and assisting in coordinating the design consultants, in-house engineering staff and estimating staffs. The focus is on proposal writing/development, customer service and coordinating the overall proposal process including sales engineering resources, production engineering resources, estimating resources, proposal elements, subcontractor scopes, budgets and execution/construction resources. Primary Duties Assist with pre-construction process for effective customer relationships, internal efficiencies and company profitability Coordinate work across multiple departments, subcontractors and engineering consultants Communicate with Designers/Customer for clarification of project Scope of Work Prepare scope documents for directing proposal, estimating and design efforts Ensure accuracy of information within proposal documents Assist with opportunities and proposals in coordination with Sales and Estimating Adhere to and support implementation of department procedures, processes and directives Conduct project kick-off, department review, and management review meetings Experience Minimum: Associates degree or certified training in construction technology 2 years of experience in the field Preferred: Bachelors of Science in design or construction related discipline 4+ years of experience in a construction related field. Knowledge of pre-engineered metal buildings or steel structures Education & expertise in one or more construction disciplines Additional Information The preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
