Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift Job Description This position involves maintaining production and packaging line repair needs by responding to maintenance calls promptly to minimize downtime. The successful candidate will follow work orders assigned by supervisors, adhere to SOPs and Lock out/tag out procedures, and request necessary parts or supplies through maintenance software. Additionally, the role requires performing preventive and predictive maintenance using Asset Inspection Sheets and participating in Kaizen, 5S, and Lean training. Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Lean training. Essential Skills Mechanical and electrical repair skills. 1+ year of industrial mechanic experience. Experience repairing conveyors, motors, and pumps. Ability to perform preventive maintenance. High mechanical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Own basic tool set (bring to work). Any electrical background is beneficial. Work Environment The work environment offers a flexible schedule with openings on the second shift from 2pm to 10:30pm and the third shift from 10pm to 6:30am. The facility includes various machines such as hoppers, ovens, conveyors, rolling presses, and more. Work is mostly independent, except for tasks requiring heavy lifting. Candidates are required to document maintenance activities before and after each shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
