Monthly Salary: $5,763 - $8,920 The Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is hiring a Custodial Services Manager to lead a team of about 45 custodial staff. You'll help keep our state buildings in Salem running smoothly and looking their best. You'll be responsible for: Overseeing daily operations and quality assurance Setting strategic goals and tracking performance Managing budgets, planning resources, and leading improvement initiatives Collaborating with clients, vendors, and industry partners Supporting minor maintenance and repair coordination At DAS, we take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and accessible spaces for all Oregonians. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Three years of lead work, foreman work, or supervision; OR, One year of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position AND completion of an accredited vocational-training or construction-training program related to the class concept; OR, One year of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Special Qualification: Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license issued by the state where the employee resides. Desired attributes: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of custodians ensuring efficient and effective service delivery across multiple locations. Proven organizational and problem-solving skills to manage schedules, tasks, and resources effectively across different sites. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and multi-site environment. Proven experience providing exceptional customer service, including responsiveness to client requests, and maintaining positive client relationships. Understanding of budgeting principles to manage resources efficiently and optimize cleaning operations within financial constraints, including ordering materials and maintaining inventory. Familiarity with cleaning equipment and technology, as well as proficiency in using software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
