SUMMARY**Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans, complex assembly drawings, and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes, in conjunction with other engineering staff. Revise and updatemodel and drawing files per engineering change procedures.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**- Make final drawings of proposed designs using computer-aided design equipment and software, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.- Must become familiar with and adhere to various ASME, ANSI, Mil-Std, and Atec internal drawing standards.- Process drawing changes based on ECNs, SCNs, and/or other change notice procedures.- Be able to read and understand BOM (Bill of Materials); provide review/clarification as required.- Be able to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and PandIDs.- Utilize knowledge of various machine tools, engineering practices, trade practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings in a variety of engineering, architectural, environmental, electrical, and mechanical fields.- Support company efforts, working with Production, Technical Publication, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing groups as required to fulfill needs and activities.- Draw charts for representation of statistical data, as required.- Model and create documentation of finished designs from sketches, notes, calculations, and/or other forms of input, working closely with subject matter experts.- Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) equipment and software.- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Vital Link International Standards Organization (ISO9000) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.**ISO9000 SPECIFIC DUTIES**- Be familiar with and understand Vital Link Quality Policy and company objectives.- Understand required ISO9000 specific Procedures and Work Instructions.- Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.- Participate in Vital Link Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.- Participate in ISO9000 training as required.- Cooperate with Auditors.- Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**- Associate degree (AA) from two-year college or technical school; or 1-4 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.- Experience in SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, OrCAD, and/or DraftSite preferred.**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**SolidWorks Associate certification (CSWA) encouraged; options include, but are not limited to, Mechanical Design, Electrical, 3D Experience, Additive Manufacturing, Simulation, and Sustainability.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**- Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.- Employee must have good eyesight, by lenses if necessary.**WORK ENVIRONMENT**- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.- Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.www.Atec.comEqual Opportunity Employer.
