This individual will be under the direction of the Pre-construction Manager, Chief Estimator, and Senior Estimator to plan cost factors for building process which will include; analyzing blueprints, reviewing specifications and proposals, and preparing documentation for time, cost, and labor.Why you want this position:Salary range $80,000 to 110,000/year, depending on experienceHealth Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Health Savings Account and Flexible Savings Account, Basic Life & AD&D, Short- & Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Life and AD&D, Voluntary Accident & Critical Illness Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Maternity & Paternity Leave, FMLA 401(k) PlanFlexible Paid Time OffGreat Career Development and Work Life BalanceTeam Member Bonus ProgramEssential Functions and Duties:Attend pre-proposal meetings and perform site visits as required to assist in the preparation of requests for proposals.Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issuesManage document control for the pre-construction phases of a project.Help prepare estimates with the proper level of detail for all design stages: Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction DocumentsPrepares quantity take-offs and estimates costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to fulfill all provisions of the contract.Analyze construction documents and specifications to determine estimated costs.Identify conflicts in construction documents and specifications and effectively communicates those to the Pre-construction team.Review design documents for proper information to receive accurate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.Contact and follow up with subcontractors for all budgeting and bid efforts to establish participation.Review all bid packages, instructions to bidders, and bid forms against all subcontractor proposals to ensure compliant and complete bidsQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science/Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering or 3 or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Familiar with Destini Estimator, Procore, Join.Build, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft applications, iSqFt/Construct ConnectAbility to effectively communicate in written/verbal form as it relates to technical information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and vendors.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.Maintains a strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
