JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: The Superintendent manages the dailysite activities for Foundations projects by ensuring the project isconstructed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule. TheSuperintendent directly manages the lead personnel and staff on eachproject site. A Day in the Life Daily communication with GeneralSuperintendents regarding job specific needs including workforce andequipment requirements. Daily contact with job site crews to ensureproject time schedule and workforce needs are being met. Schedulessubcontractors to complete work as needed. Monitors subcontractor workto ensure work is complete per subcontractor agreement. Maintains safeworking environment by identifying workplace hazards and takingcorrective action when necessary. Ensures employees have up-to-dateinformation on safety procedures and policies. Conducts daily Job HazardAwareness meetings, daily stretching, and weekly Tool Box topics.Complete daily record keeping including daily logs, equipment schedules,material schedules, and timecards. Manages field personnel in fair andequitable manner in accordance with Veit policies, procedures, as wellas compliance with local and federal laws. Addresses staff performanceissues as they occur. Participates in pre-construction meetings todiscuss project start up and project planning. Prepares and participatesin regular job site meetings throughout the project lifecycle. Providestimely and accurate documentation for reporting safety issues, equipmentdamage and workplace injuries, according to Veit policies andprocedures. Ensures all work follows specified quality standards.Inspects field work for quality compliance, materials for qualitycompliance and review assembly of manufacturer\'s literature anddrawings before work begins. Responds to inquiries or complaints fromcustomers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Regular participation in training for construction methods and safety.Supports training opportunities for staff. Keeps supervisor informed ofknown actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability tosuccessfully perform assignments or adversely affect company operations.What You\'ll Need Five years of experience overseeing a crew responsiblefor installation of deep foundation systems. Must have experienceinstalling and/or overseeing piledriving, micropiles, caisson, andhelical piles. 5+ years\' experience with foundation/ground improvementequipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants). Ability to overseemultiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining a strong commitment tosafety, quality, and schedule. OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER certificate,Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
