A respected company in the infrastructure and fabrication sector is seeking a Structural Steel Shop Associate to support operations at its Hutto, TX facility. This hands-on role involves operating machinery, handling materials, and contributing to the production of steel components used in large-scale projects. Primary Responsibilities: Operate a plasma cutting table to prepare steel components. Interpret shop drawings and lay out dimensions on steel materials. Cut structural steel using a bandsaw and other tools. Operate an ironworker to punch holes and shear steel. Use a magnetic drill and drill press for precision work. safely operate forklifts and other industrial equipment. Qualifications and Requirements: Follow all established safety guidelines and protocols. Work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Ability to work outdoors and in a non-climate-controlled environment. Proficient in reading tape measures and performing basic calculations. Skilled in laying out dimensions on steel components. Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 pounds or more). Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and industrial machinery.
