A client in Huntsville, AL is looking for an Aircraft Structural Mechanic/Installer.
This person will work on a maintenance team that will be repairing and installing structural and body improvements to CH47's and SH60's.
Day to Day:
Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, as per drawings/specs, using both hand and power tools.
Replace older aircraft body parts, flight control surfaces, fuel cell and tank cleaning and refurbishment, pylon and windshield replacements
Adheres to strict dimension tolerances and compliance to FAA maintenance bulletins based on given engineering blueprints
Could potentially operate gas-based Arc welding equipment, brazing equipment, centering tools, riveting tools and various other sheet metal and structural maintenance tools.
Remove dented or dilapidated aircraft sheet metal and structural parts
Cut, trim, bend and smooth sheet metal parts, making sure of proper fit within tolerances and clearance parts
Understand and explain engineering blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, identities and relationship of parts

Education:
o High School Diploma or GED.
o FAA A&P or appropriate military occupational specialty training required.
Experience:
-Five years experience on any air frame.
-Ability to work in hazardous conditions such as near flight lines.
-Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
