Vi-Tel Inc is seeking experienced Structured Cable Technicians for nationwide traveling projects to assist with various applications of cabling, voice equipment, access controls, and CCTV equipment.
Candidates would be required to travel to Lowell, AR to start this project. Travel expenses to AR are your responsibility, once you arrive in AR you will be issued a company van and gas card. All travel while working is paid. Once you complete your project and return the company van to AR your travel home is your responsibility.
Project Overview:
Sams Wireless - Installing high rack antenna aps, and completing Hamina AMS surveys
6 nights PW/Sunday through Friday
7/3/25 to 8/30/25
12 hour shifts
Ideal candidates would possess the following:
Candidates MUST have experience working with a variety of cabling, such as, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and coax. Single mode and multimode fiber optic experience is a plus.
Your experience should include pulling cable, securing cables in raceways and trays, dressing cabling into racks, terminations on field end as well as rack end, testing and labeling. Experience with installing and setting of IDF/MDF racks/cabinets and adding patch panels is a plus as well.
Vi-Tel and our clients are looking for candidates who can work with minimal supervision and will pay great attention to detail.
Scope of Work:
-Pulling cables through underground conduit
-Terminate to patch panel / Keystone Jack on device end,
-Run flex/piping/cabling above fuel station awning using proper cable management.
-Technicians will be required to work above fuel station awning where the only support will be iron I beams. Safety is 1st priority for this job as you will be working above the fuel station on I beams.
Requirements:
-Ownership of various basic hand tools and power tools to include but not limited to, snips, punch down tool, wire strippers, cordless drill, and PPE (hard hat, boots, and safety glasses)
-Familiarity with BICSI and NEC Standards
-Flexibility of working day or night shift depending on client need.
-Extensive Traveling is required
-Must pass a drug screen
-Must have a clean background and pass background check
-Must have a clean driving record and have a valid (not expired) drivers lic.
