Expected salary range of $42,456 to $47,174 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to assist Installers in modifying and installing plumbing equipment according to installation instructions, supervisor guidance, and applicable local codes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and performing repairs, fabricating and modifying pipe fittings as needed, and identifying and addressing electrical, plumbing, and safety issues related to installations. The role also includes completing necessary clerical duties associated with the job. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform independently entry level work skills in water heater replacement applications.
- Perform independently entry level work skills in plumbing applications.
- Perform independently entry level work skills in flue venting applications.
- Assists in advanced applications of home comfort products.
- Performs clerical duties necessary to complete job work orders.
- Performs assigned job duties, including clerical tasks, as directed by lead technicians.
- Ability to learn the installation applications of plumbing systems, equipment, and products.
- Assist experienced plumbing technicians with daily work-related skills in plumbing applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to work flexible, sometimes extended hours, including nights and weekends
- High School diploma/GED
- Apprentices will need to have a plumbing apprentice license and will also enroll into plumbing school which they will attend 2 night per week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in plumbing/pipefitting or installations
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of copper, CPVC, PVC, and gas piping installation methods and standards
- Knowledge of gas and electric water heater installation, operation, and general plumbing practices
- Possess the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Proven customer service skills
