Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description

Join our dynamic Engineering Department as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will collaborate with a talented, multi-discipline design and engineering team focused on the industrial manufacturing market. You will be instrumental in providing innovative electrical engineering solutions for projects spanning the United States, overseeing the complete project lifecycle from technical studies through to constructability reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer power distribution systems based on the National Electrical Code and client specifications.
  • Develop facility lighting systems designs and engineering.
  • Engineer grounding systems and power panel schedules.
  • Design motor control systems and process control panels.
  • Create process instrumentation wiring diagrams.
  • Effectively communicate and document with project teams, external stakeholders, and other engineering departments.
  • Review and analyze project requirements, codes, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and client specifications.
  • Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare proposals and fee estimates.
  • Serve as a technical lead engineer in the quality review process of work products developed by others and coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines into final design deliverables.
  • Train and mentor early-career engineering employees.
  • Provide support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, and review of shop drawings.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or desire to pursue PE licensure.
  • Expertise in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and chemical plants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience with engineering calculations utilizing computer modeling software.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Practical experience with Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrical design and schematic experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying advanced engineering techniques.
Work Environment

Enjoy working in a large open office in the Acro Corporate Center, conveniently located across from TopGolf. This location houses 75 employees, with 55 in the engineering department. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility available. We offer a hybrid work model with 2 days in the office, and potential for 100% remote work for suitable candidates. Our company emphasizes sustainability internally and with clients and engages in both domestic and international projects. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $67.30/hr.
